Senior Citizen Prom Held On March 13

Hello fellow seniors. The Senior Citizen Prom is early this year! Sponsored by the Pennsauken Education Association, the Senior Citizen Prom will be on Sunday, March 13 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken High School Cafeteria. This great annual event features lunch and dancing; the Optical Academy will also be on hand from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. to provide eye exams. And immediately after the prom, seniors will be escorted to the auditorium to watch the high school’s performance of “Little Shop of Horrors.” And it’s all FREE to Pennsauken seniors!

Seniors can RSVP for the event by calling the Senior Citizen Coordinator’s office at (856) 665-1000 x125. Please provide your full name, phone number, and number of people in your party.

Tax Help For Seniors

The Pennsauken Free Public Library is now hosting AARP Tax Help sessions. This free service is available in the Library’s Community Room, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tax help runs now through April 14. This is first come, first served and priority is given to seniors.

Senior Spring Fling On April 13

Local seniors are invited to attend the annual Senior Spring Fling, held on Wednesday, April 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Collingswood Ballroom, 315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood. Sponsored by Senator Jim Beach, Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald, and Assemblywoman Pan Lampitt, the event is free to seniors and features a dessert reception, door prizes and dancing and music all night. To reserve your spot, please call (856) 858-3667 and leave a message with your name and the number of people in your party. Space is limited and attendees are asked to RSVP by April 6.

I know a lot of you are really looking forward to March 20, the first official day of spring. I enjoy it too; it’s a wonderful time of year where everything comes to life.
