A Reminder From Pennsauken’s Building Department About Smoke And Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Approved 10-year battery smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are now required for housing resale. They must have an approval by Underwriters Laboratories or a third party agency that tests to the Underwriters Laboratories standard. Detectors marked with a CE approval are not tested to the Underwriters standards and may not be used.
Building Department To Close For Filing Work
The Pennsauken Township Building Department will be closed at various times this month for comprehensive filing. This work is being staggered so as to cause the least amount of inconvenience.
The Building Department is closing on the following days:
- Tuesday, Nov. 14, 21 and 28, noon to close of the day
- Thursday, Nov. 9, 16 and 30, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Township Building Department To Close For Filing Work
The Pennsauken Township Building Department will be closed at various times during the next two weeks for comprehensive filing. This work is being staggered so as to cause the least amount of inconvenience.
The Building Department is closing on the following days:
Tuesday, Oct. 24 – Noon to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 26 – 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 31 – Noon to 4:30 p.m. (will be open for trick or treaters visiting the Township Building)
Thusday, Nov. 2 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
