First Responders Sharing The Importance Of Service To Community
By Vince Martinez, Mayor of Pennsauken
Last month, Pennsauken’s first responders held both a Junior Police Academy and a Junior Fire Academy. Each summer, young people receive an up close look at the roles of these dedicated men and women in a fun and educational environment. Both academies are extremely well attended, and our police officers, firefighters, and EMTs do an amazing job. We can’t thank them enough for what they do to make these programs possible.

Property Appraisers Begin Revaluation Inspections
By now, Pennsauken residents should have already received a letter regarding the start of the revaluation of properties, which has been ordered by the Camden County Board of Taxation and under the approval of the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation.
In the accompanying graphic is a photo of the ACTUAL staff from Professional Property Appraisers, Inc. who will be coming to our neighborhoods for revaluation inspections. Each one is registered with the Township of Pennsauken Police Department, carrying a letter from Pennsauken’s Assessor, wearing a Professional Property Appraisers shirt, and will be able to present a photo identification badge. Their job is to conduct both exterior and interior inspections of Pennsauken properties, as well as measure all buildings on, and improvements to, the land. These individuals are only collecting information for the revaluation process. They will not be making any judgments on properties.
Any resident who has a concern about the validity of a person at your home for the revaluation process can contact 856-665-1000 ext. 112 or 116, or the Pennsauken Township Police Department at 856-663-1234.
