Yesterday, Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 122 imposing additional mitigation requirements on essential retail businesses, including supermarkets, and other essential industries in New Jersey. The order also ceases all non-essential construction projects in the state.

CDC Recommends Cloth Face Covers to Prevent Spread of COVID-19

In recent days, the Centers for Disease Control has issued new guidance regarding cloth face covers for general use to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The CDC now recommends that all Americans wear cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (grocery stores, pharmacies, etc…), and especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

Mayor Killion Provides Latest Update On The Coronavirus In Pennsauken

In a video post earlier today, Pennsauken Mayor Tim Killion provided the latest update on the COVID-19 outbreak, announcing that five new cases were found in town, bringing the total to 40 so far.

“These new cases drive home how important it is to maintain social
distancing, to frequently wash your hands, and to stay at home,” said Killion. “Social spread of this virus is a real thing. We need to take it seriously.”

NJEDA Announces Application Launch Date for Grants for Businesses Impacted by COVID-19

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) will launch the application for its Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 9:00 am. A link to the grant program application will be posted on the State’s COVID-19 Business Information Hub. The grant program is part of a package of initiatives announced last week to support businesses and workers facing economic hardship due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

New COVID-19 Testing Site To Open In Camden

Cooper University Health Care, Virtua Health, the Camden County Freeholder Board, and Camden County Health Department have collaborated to open a new drive-up coronavirus (COVID-19) testing site in the city of Camden beginning April 1.
