Merchantville Elementary Haunted House On October 18-19

The Merchantville Elementary School Haunted House returns for two nights of thrills and chills Oct. 18 and 19 at Merchantville School, 130 S. Centre St. Pick up Not-So-Scary tickets from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for a tour designed with the littlest kids in mind. Regular admission available from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5 adults, $3 kids.

This year’s event takes guests through a haunted adventure sure to make you scream! Snacks, glowsticks, and much more are also available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit the Merchantville School eighth grade graduation.

The Pennsauken Township Police Department is sharing some helpful tips so that Trick or Treaters have a safe and fun time on Halloween.

“Spooky Season” is upon us! And to get local residents into the Halloween spirit, both Pennsauken Township and the Borough of Merchantville have some great events lined up.

Deadline For Pennsauken’s Halloween Home Decorating Contest Is TODAY

The hunt will be on for the best Halloween decorations in town. Sponsored by Pennsauken’s Department of Parks and Recreation and the Pennsauken Youth Action Committee, the annual Halloween Home Decorating Contest will recognize those homes that go all out for the spookiest time of the year. A team of guys and ghouls will be creeping around town to locate the most impressive expressions of Halloween spirit Pennsauken has to offer. Prizes will be given to the first, second, and third place winners.

In order for decorated homes in Pennsauken to be considered for this year’s contest, residents must submit their address using the form located at twp.pennsauken.nj.us/content/halloween-home-decorating-contest. Registration runs through Monday, Oct. 18.

Pennsauken Library Holds Costume Exchange On October 6

The Pennsauken Free Public Library will hold a Costume Exchange on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1:00 p.m. Parents and caregivers are invited to bring gently-used children’s and teen costumes and accessories to swap. Leave what you can… Take what you need!

Please note: the Pennsauken Library Youth Services Department will not be providing costumes for this event; parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring what they can to swap. Also, per library safety regulations, no child may be left unattended during any Youth Services program.
