Pennsauken To Hold Fall Festival On October 19

Pennsauken Township’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 19 (rain date Sunday, Oct. 20). This annual event, held from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken Community Recreation Complex at the corner of Bethel and Westfield avenues, brings the Township community together with fun activities.

Pennsauken Easter Egg Hunt Postponed To March 30

Because of the rain forecasted for March 23, Pennsauken’s annual Easter Egg Hunt has been postponed to Saturday, March 30, at the same location and time.

Families can barely contain their egg-citement as the town welcomes the Easter Bunny back for Pennsauken’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Sponsored by Pennsauken Township and Kiddie Junction of Pennsauken, this year’s free egg hunt will take place on Saturday, March 30, 10:00 a.m., at the Walt Nicgorski Sports Complex, located at Powell and Collins avenues. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to children up to age 9.

“Our Easter Egg Hunt is the start of several great Township events for the spring and summer,” said Pennsauken Mayor Marco DiBattista. “It’s an awesome event and we hope to see our families come out.”

Pennsauken’s Fall Festival On November 4

Heavy rainfall in October caused Township officials to move Pennsauken’s annual Fall Festival to Saturday, Nov. 4, with a new rain date of Sunday, Nov. 5.

“We had a lot of rain last month, particularly on the weekends. For the safety of staff and participants, we’ve moved our Fall Festival to the first Saturday in November,” said Pennsauken Mayor Vince Martinez. “We certainly hope that Mother Nature is more cooperative, and we get a sunny, seasonable day for this great community event.”

Community Invited To Car And Bike Show, Fall Festival

The Pennsauken community is invited to attend two popular public events: the Car and Bike Show, held on Sunday, Sept. 10, and the town’s Fall Festival, on Saturday, Oct. 14.

“This is a great time of year for public events in Pennsauken; our annual Car and Bike Show and our Fall Festival are right around the corner,” said Pennsauken Mayor Vince Martinez. “Both events are wonderful opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy a great time with our neighbors. We hope you come out and join us!”

Pennsauken’s Annual Car And Bike Show Returns September 10

Pennsauken’s 31st annual Car and Bike Show will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hundreds of classic cars and bikes will be on display along part of the “Maple Mile,” starting at Pinsetter Bar and Bowl, the co-sponsor of the event located at 7111 Maple Ave., and extending towards Union Ave.

Pennsauken Spring Clean Up Day Held On April 2

The Pennsauken Environmental Commission and the Township’s Parks and Recreation Department will be holding a spring clean up day on Saturday, April 2. Held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 60 volunteers will be split between four locations: Tippin’s Pond, 49th St. Park, the Boat Ramp at Derousse Ave., and Meadowbrook Park.

Township Fireworks Display Held On June 12

Pennsauken Township and its Parks and Recreation Department are holding a fireworks display with music on Saturday, June 12, at the town’s Community Recreation Complex on Westfield Ave.

Pennsauken Awarded $25,000 Grant To Enhance Johnson Park

Pennsauken’s Johnson Park is scheduled to receive a $25,000 facelift, thanks to a grant from the Camden County Open Space Preservation Trust Fund.
