Lions Pancake Breakfast On April 7

Pennsauken Lions Annual Ned Davis Pancake Breakfast will Sunday, April 7, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Temple Lutheran Church, 5600 N. Crescent Blvd. The cost is $10 per person and includes pancakes, French toast, sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee. In addition, there will raffle baskets for attendees to win an assortment of items. 

All proceeds benefit the Lions eye screening program, school scholarships, residents in need, and much more.

Pennsauken Lions Club Announce 2019 Citizens Of The Year

Each year, the Pennsauken Lions Club presents its Citizen of the Year award, given to people who have volunteered their time and effort to the betterment of Pennsauken. This year, the Lions Club is pleased to announce that Janet Stevens and Tom McCue have been selected as co-recipients of the award.

Lions Club Pancake Breakfast And Easter Bunny Visit Held On April 7

The Pennsauken Lions Club will be holding their 25th annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 7, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Macaro’s catering hall on Westfield Ave. Menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, make your own omelet station, OJ, coffee, tea, and milk. New this year: the Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures with the children who attend. Bring your own camera. Besides the bunny, there will also be a basket raffle. The tickets for breakfast are $10. Raffle tickets are $5 for three or $10 for 25.

Pennsauken Lions Holds Popular Cigar Night On October 23

Last year’s extremely popular “Cigar Night” fundraiser returns to Steak 38 Café, 515 Rt. 38, Cherry Hill, on Monday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. Owner Joe DiAmore and his wife, Judy, both members of the Pennsauken Lions, will once again be our gracious hosts. The cost is $65 per person and includes appetizers, dinner, dessert and two premium cigars. Space is limited; reservations are requested by Monday, Oct. 16 and can be made at pennsaukenlionsclub@gmail.com or by calling (856) 662-3838.   

Pennsauken Lions Hold Pampered Chef Fundraiser

If you love to cook, and especially love new and interesting kitchen gadgets to make cooking more fun, the Pennsauken Lions Club has an event for you!

The Lions will be hosting a Pampered Chef demonstration on Monday, June 12, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., at Macaro’s Catering, Westfield Ave. in Pennsauken. Attendees can find unique, easy-to-use kitchen products that make cooking fun, including cooking tools, bakeware, stoneware, and more. Many items are under $10!

Pennsauken Lions Club Pancake Breakfast A Success

The Pennsauken Lions Club would like to thank everyone who came out to their annual pancake breakfast, Sunday, April 10. It was a wonderful success that is only made possible through the support of the local community.

Pennsauken Lions Club Honors Mgsr. Mannion At Citizen Of The Year Award Dinner

On June 22, Mgsr. Mike Mannion, a priest for the Diocese of Camden and Pennsauken native, was honored as the Pennsauken Lions Club’s Citizen of the Year for 2015. The award is given out annually to an individual from Pennsauken who has made an impact in the community. Mannion was recognized for his work with the poor, his efforts to spread the message of the dignity of the human person, and his support of local police and other first responders.

Mgsr. Mike Mannion, a priest for the Diocese of Camden and Pennsauken native, has been selected as the Pennsauken Lions Club’s Citizen of the Year for 2015.

Pennsauken Lions Collect Over 100 Pair Of Glasses

Members of the Pennsauken Lions Club recently emptied the white mailbox in front of the Pennsauken Township municipal building and counted the donated glasses, over 100 pair! They also found a few letters mistakenly deposited into the reconditioned mailbox, including one to a bank! There was also assorted trash inside.

The Lions appreciate the donations of glasses and will continue to collect them throughout the year, but they ask that only glasses, wrapped in a plastic bag, without cases, be deposited in the box and certainly not trash or mail.

Submissions For International Peace Poster Contest Due October 24

LCI emblem_2C_287+7406“Peace, Love and Understanding” is the 2014 theme for the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. The contest is open to any young person aged 11 through 13 on Nov. 15. Eligible birthdates are November 16, 1999 to November 15, 2003.
