National Night Out In Pennsauken Held On August 7
The Pennsauken Fire Department will open all of its fire stations to the public during National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 7, an annual community-building campaign that is designed to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.

Independence Day 2018 Municipal Service Changes
Both the Pennsauken Township Municipal Building and the Pennsauken Free Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in observance of Independence Day. The Municipal Building will reopen on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. for normal business operations. The Pennsauken Free Public Library will open on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 12:30 p.m., after a staff in-service that morning.
The Pennsauken School District’s Summer Enrichment program is closed on Wednesday, July 4, and will resume on Thursday, July 5.
The Pennsauken Township Department of Public Works reminds residents that Wednesday, July 4, 2018, is a “trash holiday.” Wednesday’s yard waste and white goods pickup moves to Thursday, July 5. Thursday’s trash and recycling collection moves to Friday, July 6. Friday’s trash and recycling collection moves to Saturday, July 7, beginning at 6:00 a.m.
Westfield Avenue Detoured Thursday And Friday
Westfield Ave. will be repaved from 36th St. to Browning Rd. in Pennsauken Township. To facilitate the construction, Westfield Ave. will be closed to southbound traffic at Browning Rd. from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on June 21 and 22.
“A single lane traffic will be permitted northbound from Camden City into Pennsauken Township. A detour will be in place running from Browning Rd. West to River Rd. South to 36th St. East,” said Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Residents living within the work zone are requested to exit their properties heading northbound only.”

But a movie script he and his writing partner, Wesley Jermaine Johnson, wrote two years ago just got picked up by action movie star Vin Diesel, known for his roles in “The Fast and the Furious,” “xXx,” and “The Chronicles of Riddick.”
