AARP Tax Help For Seniors Runs Through April 13

The Pennsauken Free Public Library will once again be hosting AARP Tax Help sessions. This free service will be available in the Library’s Community Room, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Senior Health Fair To Be Held In Pennsauken On September 28

Hello fellow seniors. The annual Senior Citizen Health Awareness Fair will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Jack Curtis Stadium in Cooper River Park, rain or shine. By showing your Medicare card, Camden County residents can receive a seasonal flu shot for free. In addition, the fair features health information tables, games, and prizes. Health screenings will be provided for issues such as blood pressure, cholesterol, vision, and diabetes. There will also be information about prescription/insurance programs, medical equipment, financial/consumer information, and social service programs.
Seniors Can Enjoy A Free Day Of Billiards And Bowling

The Camden County Board of Freeholders, in conjunction with The Big Event Entertainment Experience, presents a FREE day of billiards and bowling for Camden County Seniors age 55 and older. The event is held on Wednesday, May 18, as well as Wednesday, June 15 at The Big Event Entertainment Experience, 1536 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ. Times for both days run from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Saint Peter’s Senior Ministry Celebrates Fifth Anniversary
Five years ago, a focus group was put together to develop ideas on how to better serve the needs of seniors throughout the local community. Today, those ideas have evolved into the Senior Ministry Center at Saint Peter’s in Merchantville, a day center dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors by providing meaningful and interactive spiritual, social and intergenerational experiences that allow them to prosper and grow.

South Jersey Legal Services, Inc. (SJLS) is a private, non-profit law firm that provides high-quality civil legal services to low-income residents of several counties in New Jersey, including Camden County. The firm’s Camden County office has a senior citizen advocate center, which provides legal assistance to county residents who are 60 years of age or older and meet established guidelines.

Bilingual Mental Health Management Available For Camden County Seniors

The Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey provides in-home, bilingual mental health and case management services to eligible Camden County seniors with a mental health disability who are sixty years or older; or who are permanently physically disabled.
