Township Committee, School Board Hold Reorganization Meetings

By state law, reorganization meetings for municipal governments have to occur within the first seven days of January. So on the first Thursday of the year, Pennsauken residents and municipal representatives gathered at the Pennsauken Country Club on a snowy evening to set the town’s government for 2018.
Township Building Department To Close For Filing Work
The Pennsauken Township Building Department will be closed at various times during the next two weeks for comprehensive filing. This work is being staggered so as to cause the least amount of inconvenience.
The Building Department is closing on the following days:
Tuesday, Oct. 24 – Noon to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 26 – 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 31 – Noon to 4:30 p.m. (will be open for trick or treaters visiting the Township Building)
Thusday, Nov. 2 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Public Review And Comment Needed For Pennsauken’s Hazard Mitigation Plan
As part of the on-going update of the Camden County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, a Preliminary Municipal Appendix is available for review that addresses natural hazard mitigation issues for our community. The Preliminary Municipal Appendix can be downloaded by visiting http://nj4hmp.com/camden-county/pennsauken-township/ and clicking on the appropriate links.
Comments on the Preliminary Municipal Appendix can be submitted via the “Contact Us” page, located at http://nj4hmp.com/contact-us/. However, please note that comments must be submitted no later than Friday, Jan. 9.
