MPWC Water Quality Standards

The town of Flint, Michigan is still reeling from the contamination of its water supply. By switching water supplies and introducing a more corrosive water into their distribution system, the utility exposed thousands of residents to water with high levels of lead. The city’s residents put a lot of faith and trust in their water supplier to provide them with safe drinking water each and every day. The utility not only needs to permanently fix the problem, but regain the trust of its customers.
What’s New For MPWC Water Customers In 2016

By now you may have heard that the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission (MPWC) entered the competition for best tasting drinking water at the annual New Jersey Chapter of the American Water Works Association (NJAWWA) conference held in Atlantic City, NJ. Being compared to many other water systems, the judges determined that our water placed first and was the best-tasting! The Commissioners and dedicated employees are very proud of this achievement.

On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9:11 a.m., the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission, along with our family, friends and community members, are joining together to give back! Join us at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken for a 5K Run + 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk in honor of the Travis Manion Foundation.
Waterlines: Kofoet Retires From Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission

On December 31, 2014, Bernhard H. Kofoet retired from his position on the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission. Bernie was appointed to his first five-year term effective July 1, 1988. He was re-appointed for five additional and consecutive terms. Bernie invested his time, interest, and energies into learning the water business, upholding the many traditions of the MPWC while assisting with creating new ones throughout his tenure. He served in many different capacities and was an integral and driving presence on the Commission.
