Taylor To Be Honored With MLK Jr. Freedom Medal
Rick Taylor, longtime resident, member of Township Committee, and educator, will be awarded with the Camden County Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Medal at a ceremony at the Camden County Boathouse on Jan. 17.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Medal is presented to county residents who have selflessly contributed their time and effort to better their community in conjunction with the goals of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Thirteen individuals will receive the medal this year.
Rick worked in the School District for 42 years and has been a member of Pennsauken’s Township Committee for 22 years. Last month, it was also announced that as part of the Bond Referendum that the School District has proposed, the state-of-the-art Field House they’d like to build at the high school would be named the Rick Taylor Field House.
