Three Charged For Kidnapping Man In North Jersey After Being Caught In Pennsauken

Information provided by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office

Three people have been charged in connection with kidnapping a man and driving him to three banks to withdraw money, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni, Pennsauken Police Chief John Nettleton and Belmar Police Chief Tina Scott.

Vaughn Caul, 42, of Pine Hill, Dwayne Graham, 53, of Philadelphia and Jessica O’Donnell, 25, of Woodbury have all been charged with the following:

  • One count of first-degree Robbery
  • One count of first-degree Kidnapping
  • One count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of Weapon
  • One count of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose
  • One count of third-degree Receiving Stolen Property
  • One count of third-degree Criminal Coercion
  • One count of third-degree Criminal Restraint

Police were called to the TD Bank on Route 130 in Pennsauken after the victim passed a note to the teller asking for help and stating the man behind him – later identified as Caul — had a gun.

Patrol officers responded and found Caul inside the bank standing directly behind the victim carrying a concealed handgun. Officers found Graham and O’Donnell waiting across the street in a vehicle that matched the description of the car into which the victim said he had been forced.

Through investigation, police learned Caul, Graham and O’Donnell reportedly kidnapped the victim in Belmar, N.J. before taking him to two different TD Banks to withdraw money. The victim was able to alert bank staff at the third stop.

Caul, Graham and O’Donnell were taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility and are awaiting a detention hearing. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
