Two Men Charged In Pennsauken Shooting

Following a cooperative investigation, two men have been charged in connection to a shooting that occurred on June 30, 2022 in Pennsauken, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Acting Police Chief Phil Olivo.
Tyron Cooper, 34, of Willingboro is charged with the following offenses:
- 2 counts of 2nd degree Aggravated Assault
- 2nd degree Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes
- 1st degree Unlawful Possession of Weapons
- 2nd degree Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons
Marcus Johnson, 29, is charged with the following offenses:
- 2nd degree Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes
- 2nd degree Unlawful Possession of Weapons
- 2nd degree Certain Persons not to Possess Weapons
On Thursday, June 30, 2022, just before midnight, detectives of the CCPO Major Crimes Unit and the Pennsauken Police Department initiated an investigation after responding to the 4400 block of Marlton Pike, Pennsauken, for a report of a large fight and shootings. Two men were struck by the gunfire in the shooting. One man was released from the hospital and the other man remains hospitalized.
Cooper and Johnson are in custody and will be lodged at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
