Virtual Public Information Center For Multi-Use Trail Project Held Tonight

Residents are invited to a Virtual Public Information Center for the proposed Pennsauken-Merchantville Multi-Use Trail Project. The purpose is to inform the various stakeholders of the proposed plan for the project.

The format for the Public Information Center will be a brief presentation followed by a period for questions and answers. The public will have an opportunity to review exhibits, ask questions, and discuss any concerns.

The Virtual Public Information Center will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 6:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. Participants can register in advance of meeting by visiting https://bit.ly/PennsaukenTrail or join via phone by calling (267) 857-3801, Phone Conference ID: 261 810 315#.

This rails-to-trails project will utilize existing abandoned railroad ROW adjacent to Chestnut Ave. located in Pennsauken Township. The trail will begin at the termination of the previously completed Merchantville portion. A new trail crossing will be provided at Cove Rd. The trail will then extend approximately 0.30 and terminate with a turnaround at the existing abandoned railroad trestle bridge over the NJ Transit Atlantic City Line.

To learn more about the project, or for questions or concerns, please contact Vittorio M. Anepete, project manager for McCormick Taylor, Inc., at (856)-793-0800.
