Woman Freed From Under Train
A woman became trapped this morning under a River Line light rail train at the 36th Street Station in Pennsauken.
A little after 6:00 a.m., NJ Transit announced via Twitter that River Line service was suspended between Walter Rand Transportation Center and the Pennsauken Transit Center due to the incident.
According to reports, first responders worked for over an hour to rescue the women, who was taken away on a stretcher. She appeared to be conscious, but her medical condition has yet to be announced.
River Line light rail service has resumed between Walter Rand Transportation Center and Pennsauken Transit Center, but is currently subject to up to 15-minute delays.
