Woman’s Club Sponsors Five-Day Bus Trip
The Woman’s Club of Merchantville is sponsoring a bus trip to West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio from Friday, Sept. 23 to Tuesday, Sept. 27. The trip includes travel on a 19th century Sternwheeler Riverboat to Blennerhasset Island, a mansion tour, museum visit and horse drawn wagon ride. In Parkersburg, W.Va., participants will enjoy a sight-seeing guided bus tour. In Ohio, there will be stops at Castle Marietta, Holl’s Swiss Chocolatier, and the Campus Martius Museum. There will be a wine tasting tour, a plantation tour, and Smoot Theater dessert tour. In Virginia, travelers will visit Patsy Cline’s home and enjoy a honky-tonk dinner with entertainment. There will also be a stop at the Shenksville Flight 93 National Memorial. Included in the trip are five days, four nights, four dinners, four breakfasts, and one picnic lunch.
