Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 130 Ramp Closures Begin Tomorrow

Route 130 northbound ramp closed and detoured for several weeks

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a daytime closure of the ramp from Route 130 southbound to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound and a long-term closure of the ramp from Route 130 northbound to the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 westbound, as a concrete repair project advances in Pennsauken.

Freeholders Launch Rental Assistance Program

The Freeholder Board is launching a new program aimed at supporting renters at risk of losing their homes or facing an eviction threat due to lost employment or income caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Camden County Rental Assistance Program makes available up to six months of back rent (April 2020 through September 2020) for a maximum of $4,000. While tenants will apply to take part in the program, payments will be made directly to landlords.

PSE&G To Begin Gas Main, Service Replacement On Several Township Roads

Staring this week, PSE&G will begin replacing existing gas mains and services on several roads in Pennsauken. The following Township roads are included in this project:

  • Burning Tree Rd.
  • Corbett Ave.
  • Corbett Rd.
  • Finlaw Ave.
  • Gladwyn Ave.
  • Grant Ave.
  • Jackson Ave.
  • Pettit Ct.
  • Pettit Ln.
  • Petttit Rd.
  • Starr Rd.
  • Wyndam Rd.

PSE&G will also be replacing the gas main on a section of Union Ave.

Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting On Westfield

Detectives are investigating after a man was fatally shot in Pennsauken Wednesday evening, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pennsauken Police Chief John Nettleton.

Remember The Fallen Display Opens At Veterans Island

The Camden County Board of Freeholders and military partners are hosting a 7-day photographic war memorial exhibit to thank and honor all of our veterans from The War on Terror and their families for their service and sacrifice. The exhibit will be open 24/7 to view from Wednesday, Sept. 9, through Tuesday, Sept. 15, on Veterans Island at Cooper River Park, located behind LaScala’s Birra, 5300 North Park Drive, in Pennsauken. Masks must be worn and social distancing will be enforced.

Pennsauken Man Arrested, Charged In Fatal Camden Stabbing

A Pennsauken man was arrested and charged in connection with an Aug. 25 fight that led to the fatal stabbing of another man, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.

Pennsauken Car And Bike Parade Held On September 19
