Six Figure Grant From PSEG Foundation Helps Food Bank Of South Jersey
When the pandemic struck, demand for food increased at the Food Bank of South Jersey, an organization dedicated to helping the food insecure.
So, when PSEG and the PSEG Foundation donated $150,000 to the Pennsauken, New Jersey-based organization as part of the Foundation’s COVID-19 support grants, the funds were “sufficient to feed almost a half-million meals,” said Fred Wasiak, president and CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey, calculating that a single dollar can provide more than three meals.

Work To Begin On John Tipton Boulevard
Pennsauken Township’s Engineering Department has announced that a project to repave a section of John Tipton Blvd. is slated to begin on Monday, April 19.

The anticipated duration of this construction project is approximately two months.
A Visual Wonder: Concrete Genie
By Rachael Shugars, AAP Entertainment Writer
I like adventure games. I like the thrill of a good story line. I love sprawling, beautiful graphics. They keep me coming back for more and can, sometimes, lead to hours of gaming without even realizing it. The game I’m reviewing this month was a surprise discovery thanks to my 5-year-old, who saw the cover and insisted that I download the game immediately. He’s just so darn cute, I couldn’t say no. And I’m glad I didn’t. Pixelopus designed a game through Sony called Concrete Genie. It’s available through the PlayStation 4 console.

On Rt. 38, a gaudy, pink-colored building that once held a stereo repair shop has been transformed into a “living clocktower,” a landmark with green spaces, water features, and more, all created without any financial cost to the Township or its taxpayers.
Tackling Residential Parking Issues In Pennsauken
By Lt. Gerald Henkel, Pennsauken Township Police Department
In the past few months, the Pennsauken Police Department has received numerous calls about residential parking issues. These complaints are especially important to our residents who live on streets where parking spots are more limited. The most common situations are related to abandoned vehicles, trailers, boats, and commercial vehicles. In an effort to alleviate these complaints, we would just like to remind residents that there are several Township ordinances that address these complaints. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for all the residents of the community.
