Annual Shredding Event Held On April 21
Do you have boxes and bags of sensitive personal or financial documents? Old bills with account information on them? Papers with signatures? Good news! The Pennsauken Environmental Commission is holding its annual shredding event for area residents!
This year’s event is held on Saturday, April 21, 8:00 a.m. to noon, at the Pennsauken School District’s Park Avenue Campus, 8201 Park Ave.
Attendees to the shredding event are asked to keep the following in mind:
- This paper-only shredding event is for individuals, not businesses
- Items that can be shredded include anything that has your signature, account number, social security number, etc., as well as any type of medical or legal information; documents can range from bank statements and credit card offers to tax forms and utility bills
- This is not a recycling event; also, items such as hard cover books, magazines, etc. will not be accepted
- Last year’s event was extremely well attended; residents are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to attend
