Best Wishes To Students For A Wonderful School Year

A Letter From Mayor Roberts To Our Students

Nicole Roberts, Pennsauken Township Committee

The Pennsauken Township Committee wishes all of our local students much success as they begin this exciting new school year. A new academic year is always filled with possibilities—new subjects to study, new friends to meet, and new goals to achieve. Each September, our community comes alive with the energy of students returning to classrooms, and we are reminded of the strength of our “Pennsauken Pride.”

As your mayor, I cannot help but think back to my own school days. I still remember the feeling of excitement I had as a little girl, carefully picking out my notebooks, sharpening fresh pencils, and laying out my clothes for the very first day. That sense of anticipation—of walking into a classroom full of possibilities—never really leaves you. My hope is that each of you will carry that same spark with you, not only on the first day of school but throughout the year.

Learning is not just about reading textbooks or taking tests. It is also about discovering who you are, what you care about, and what you want to accomplish. Along the way, you will face challenges, but those challenges are opportunities to grow stronger and wiser. The knowledge you gain is important, but so are the values you carry with you each day. To be truly successful this year, practice respect, responsibility, honesty, and perseverance. Be curious in your learning, compassionate with your classmates, and courageous enough to try new things even if they feel difficult at first.

This year, make it a goal to not only improve yourself but to also help lift up others. A kind word, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture can make a world of difference. Remember that teamwork, empathy, and gratitude are just as essential as hard work and study habits. Together, these traits will shape not only your academic success but also your character as future leaders of Pennsauken.

Your teachers, parents, and friends all believe in you and are ready to support you every step of the way. Our Township is proud of each and every student, and we know that with dedication and a positive attitude, you can achieve remarkable things.

So, as you step into your classrooms this year, remember that the world is your stage for learning and growth. Embrace each lesson, each challenge, and each opportunity with confidence and enthusiasm. With “Pennsauken Pride” in your heart, you are ready to make this your best school year yet!

Sincerely,

Nicole Roberts, Mayor of Pennsauken
