Active Shooter Preparedness Program At Library On November 5
The Friends of the Pennsauken Free Public Library are sponsoring an active shooter preparedness program on Monday, Nov. 5, 7:00 p.m., at the Library, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd.
Active shooter situations, like the horrific shooting this weekend at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pa, are an all-too-common occurrence these days. Many no doubt wonder just how they would react in such a situation or what they could do to help themselves and others.
Offered by the F.B.I., this free program is designed to help participants make the mental and physical preparations to deal with an active shooter situation. The “run, hide or fight” strategies presented could potentially be life-saving.
Due to anticipated higher than normal attendance, registration is now required. To RSVP, call (856) 665-5959, x3, or e-mail friendsoflibrary@yahoo.com.
