Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 130 Ramp Closures Monday As Repair Project Advances In Pennsauken

Signed detours will be in place for one month

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced that the ramp from the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 eastbound to Route 130 will be closed and detoured for approximately one month as a concrete repair project advances in Pennsauken.

Beginning at 7 a.m., Monday, June 8, NJDOT’s contractor, South State, is scheduled to close and detour the ramp from the Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 eastbound to Route 130. This closure will allow the contractor to repair the concrete deck, install new deck joints, and mill and pave the roadway. The following signed detours will be in place for approximately one month:

Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 eastbound to Route 130 northbound detour:

  • Motorists traveling on Route 90 eastbound from the Betsy Ross Bridge to Route 130 northbound will be directed to take the ramp to John Tipton Boulevard/Suckle Highway/Hylton Road, which comes immediately before the ramp to Route 130
  • Merge onto Route 130 northbound

Betsy Ross Bridge/Route 90 eastbound to Route 130 southbound detour:

  • Motorists traveling on Route 90 eastbound from the Betsy Ross Bridge to Route 130 southbound will be directed to take the ramp to John Tipton Boulevard/Suckle Highway/Hylton Road, which comes immediately before the ramp to Route 130
  • Merge onto Route 130 northbound and keep left
  • Turn left onto John Tipton Boulevard
  • Turn left onto Route 130 southbound

In addition to ramp closures, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, June 8, traffic on the Route 130 northbound ramp to Route 90 eastbound is scheduled to be shifted to the right side of the ramp. This will create a work zone allowing the contractor to complete concrete median work and guiderail installation.

Variable Message Signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to the motoring public of all traffic pattern changes associated with the work. NJDOT will provide information before any lane closures are scheduled.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
