POSTPONED: DRPA To Host Informational Meeting On Betsy Ross Bridge Enhancements

BECAUSE OF THE INCLEMENT WEATHER, THIS MEETING WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL APRIL.

Project expected to run from March 2018 to November of 2019

The Delaware River Port Authority will host a community information event on Tuesday, March 20 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Pennsauken Free Public Library, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd. The community event will allow residents of Pennsauken to learn more about planned upgrades and enhancements to the Betsy Ross Bridge.

Scheduled to begin this month, upgrades will include steel and concrete repairs, removal of existing lead-based paint, and application of a new coating system.

During the community event, residents will be able to ask questions about potential lane closures and detours, learn about efforts to minimize noise and disruption during the project, and get additional information about ways in which the project will ensure minimal disruption.

DRPA personnel will be available during the two-hour information session to answer questions and provide information about new techniques to ensure that dust and other byproducts from the bridge rehabilitation project are safely removed without any impact to neighbors and the community.
