Pennsauken Township will be holding a tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Township Municipal Complex, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd.

Cooper River Park Ice Rink To Open On November 25

The Freeholder Board is bringing the Winterfest Ice Skating Rink back to Cooper River Park this year to provide family fun from Nov. 25 to Feb. 14. The celebration kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on Nov. 25 with carolers and a tree lighting.

Next “Coffee And Questions With The Superintendent” Held On November 17

We had a great Coffee and Questions with the Superintendent” meeting with members of the community at the Pennsauken Country Club on Nov. 4. Beginning Thursday, Nov. 17, Coffee and Questions with the Superintendent” will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria, 800 Hylton Rd. In order to make these opportunities more convenient for residents, they will now be held each month two hours prior to the Board of Education’s business meeting.

These are times where concerned parents or Pennsauken residents can come and ask questions regarding any topic within the school district in a casual, informal setting.

I look forward to seeing you, hearing your concerns and growing both personally and professionally from you.

Athene Chapter Holds Tom Thumb Wedding

Thumbs up for Tom’s wedding!

In late September, Athene Chapter #201 O.E.S. of New Jersey held a delightful event at the Masonic Temple on Park Ave. in Collins Tract. It was a “wedding,” both big and small at the same time.

It was big, because it was also a generous charity fundraising event; and it was small, because it was a “Tom Thumb” wedding celebration.

Pennsauken Community Dedicates PHS Veterans Monument

On a clear and sun-filled Thursday in October, members of the Pennsauken community gathered on the grounds of Pennsauken High School. Alumni and veterans; staff and students; public officials and honored guests; all came together to dedicate a special monument that honors Pennsauken’s veterans – both PHS alumni and residents alike – who served their country in the Armed Forces.

Safe Families, Safe Communities Forum Held In Pennsauken
