Friends Of The Library Art Show And Poetry Contest This Spring

Local artists still have time to put the finishing touches on their art projects to meet the deadline for the Friends of the Free Public Library’s Art Show and Sale. Submissions can be dropped off on Thursday, April 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. or Friday, April 17 from 12:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Art-Show-300x182In addition to the Art Show and Sale, several workshops will be held during that week. They will include Jean Rowand, who will host a pressed – not dried – flower workshop on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:00 p.m.; and Eleanor Gribok, who will offer her expertise at a stained glass mosaic workshop on Saturday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m.

Sign-up sheets for the workshops will be available at the main desk of the Library and all materials will be supplied. Please plan to attend if you sign up. Sadly, some people register and don’t attend; these spots would have been filled from our waiting list if we had known in advance.
