Friends Of The Library Hold Annual Poetry Contest
The Friends of the Pennsauken Free Public Library are still holding their annual poetry contest!
Winners will receive prizes and certificates via U.S. Mail mid-May.
First place in each category wins a $25 Visa gift card from Republic Bank. Second place in each category wins $10 cash.
For the first time ever, electronic submissions will be accepted at friendsoflibrary@yahoo.com. All e-mails MUST include the full name of the applicant, his or her full mailing address, and a contact phone number. If the poet is a student, the following must also be included: the name of the school, the name and contact e-mail of the teacher, and the grade level. No application is needed if the submission is e-mailed.
Rules:
- Only ONE entry per person
- All entries must be ORIGINAL and not previously submitted for print or electronic publication.
- Applicants cannot have won in 2018 or 2019
- Entries must include the following information:
Applicant’s full name
Applicant’s full address
Phone number (if under 18, parent/guardian phone number) - If student, additional information required:
Name of school and grade level
Name of teacher and contact information
Remember that all applications MUST be e-mailed by Friday, May 1. All winners will be notified by phone. Winners will be announced in June’s All Around Pennsauken.
