Fun Pool Day Planned For Pennsauken’s Senior Citizens

The second annual Senior Citizen Appreciation Day at the Pennsauken Municipal Pool, 6100 River Rd., will be held on Thursday, June 8, from noon to 4:00 p.m. Sponsored by Pennsauken Township and its Parks and Recreation Department, Pennsauken seniors aged 62 and over will enjoy a variety of free, fun activities, including games and musical entertainment. In addition, Pennsauken’s first responders will be grilling for the event and interacting with attendees, and members of Township Committee will be serving food to guests.

Pennsauken’s first responders will be grilling up a tasty lunch during the Township’s annual Senior Citizen Appreciation Day on June 8.

“This annual event is just our way of saying how much we appreciate all of our senior residents. You are an important part of our community, and we want to celebrate you,” said Pennsauken Mayor Vince Martinez. “Bring your appetite and your bathing suit and get ready for some fun in the sun!”

“Our Senior Citizen Appreciation Day is a completely free event,” added Juan Vazquez, Parks and Recreation coordinator. “We encourage of senior residents to R.S.V.P. as soon as possible so you can reserve your spot!”
