Open House Held July 5 From Noon To 4:00 p.m.
The Pennsauken Historical Society will host a free Independence Day celebration at the historic Burrough-Dover House on Sunday, July 5, from noon to 4:00 p.m.
This special event will highlight Pennsauken’s role in the American Revolution and explore how local farmers, innkeepers and merchants became part of the fight for independence.
Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the 1710 colonial homestead, a live public reading of the Declaration of Independence, and light refreshments, including homemade treats.
This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of John Weber, the late president emeritus of the Pennsauken Historical Society.
Admission and parking are free. Donations to the Historical Society are welcome, and information about memberships and volunteer opportunities will be available.
The Burrough-Dover House is located at 9201 Burrough-Dover Lane, off Haddonfield Road near the Wyndham Road traffic light.
The Pennsauken Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
