NJDOT Holding Public Information Center For Proposed Road Project

The New Jersey Department of Transportation and local municipalities are informing residents of an upcoming Public Information Center (PIC) held on March 20. Held in an “open house” format, the PIC will present information about a proposed road project involving Route 70, Route 38 and Cooper Ave.

According to a handout provided by NJDOT, “The existing pavement along Route 70, including the mainline and shoulders, is in poor condition. In addition, deficiencies were identified in the sidewalk, curbing, pedestrian facilities, signalized intersections, existing culverts (CMP) and guiderail.” The proposed project would address deteriorated pavement along Rt. 70 between Rt. 38 and Cooper Ave.; Cuthbert Blvd.; and all NJDOT juridstictional jughandles, as well as address various geometric deficiencies along Rt. 70. The project is estimated to begin in the fall of 2020.

The PIC will be held at the Carmen Tilelli Community Center, 820 Mercer St., Cherry Hill, N.J., on Wednesday, March, 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
