James A. Spinelli, age 84 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 17, 2026. He was born in Camden to the late James and Frances Spinelli (nee Caratola).
Spinelli was the beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Malerba); devoted father of Lenore Frances Spinelli, Michael Perry Spinelli and the late Gina Marie Spinelli Geib; loving grandfather of Shay Geib and Isaac Spinelli; and dear brother of Ginger Caterina, Pearl Muller, Albert Spinelli, and Terry Giuliano. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jim was a respected and compassionate orthodontist who proudly served the Pennsauken community for more than 30 years, earning the trust and admiration of generations of patients and their families. While his professional accomplishments were remarkable, his greatest legacy was his commitment to helping others. Jim participated in 23 dental mission trips, generously donating his time and expertise to provide much-needed care to underserved communities, with a special devotion to serving people throughout South America. Whether caring for patients in his practice or offering hope through his humanitarian work, Jim’s kindness, skill, and selfless spirit touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was also a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday, July 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. His funeral service and entombment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Autism Speaks, P.O. Box 37148 Boone, IA 50037-0148
