Pennsauken Car And Bike Show To Become Parade

By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor

While COVID-19 is preventing the community from attending Pennsauken’s annual Car and Bike Show this year, there’s no reason why the event can’t come to the public.

The Pennsauken Department of Parks and Recreation is announcing the first-ever Car and Bike Parade. Held on Saturday, Sept. 19, route to be determined, the parade will feature many of the classic vehicles you’d normally see at the show.

“We know our residents have missed our public events this year. We’re excited to put this together for them,” says Deputy Mayor Marco DiBattista. “The Township’s trying to think out of the box to offer things for our residents during the pandemic. We hope that the Pennsauken community enjoys our parade and marks their calendar for next year, when our Car and Bike Show returns.”

“The Pennsauken Car and Bike Parade is a way to not only provide something entertaining for our residents, but also thank the many folks who bring their cars and motorcycles to our show year after year,” adds Elwood “Duke” Martz from Pennsauken’s Parks and Recreation Department. “It’ll be free to be a part of the parade; and participants will receive a plaque and a gift card as a thank you from the Township.”

Past participants of the Pennsauken Car and Bike Show are encouraged to register online for free at the Township website. Two staggered parades held in different parts of town if enough cars and motorcycles sign up; one at noon, the other at 1:30 p.m.
