The 23rd Annual Pennsauken Car, Bike and Craft Show varoomed into town Sept. 20 with almost 200 classic cars and a few dozen souped-up-to-the-max motorcycles.

A gorgeous late-summer day greeted the 2,000-plus crowd that attended the event, as did the aroma of barbecued burgers and dogs, various kids activities, and a small group of Mummers who strutted their way down Maple Ave.

Tim Ellis, chairperson of the Pennsauken-Merchantville Area Chamber of Commerce (P.M.A.C.) called the day “a huge success. It was an outstanding, family fun-filled day.”

Ellis thanked Pennsauken Township for the opportunity to partner together for this great community event. He was also grateful to the many volunteers who helped out before, during and after the event. “We couldn’t have done it without them,” he added.

“As always, a special thanks to our sponsors, who once again stepped up to make this such a great day.”

Those sponsors included Holman Automotive, Pinsetter Bar & Bowl, Beacon Auto and Truck Collision Center, Inglesby & Sons Funeral Home, McFarlan’s Market, Primerica, Mesa Signs, Elite Auto Service, and Route 130 Car Wash.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available For Holiday Parade

Speaking of sponsors, P.M.A.C. has urged local businesses to come forth and help support the annual Holiday Parade, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28 along Westfield Ave. The event is made possible in part through generous community donations.

“Time is certainly flying by,” Ellis noted. “And it’s hard to believe we’re already looking forward to the holidays.

“The holiday parade is always a wonderful time for our residents, and we hope this year’s event will be one of the best.”
