Pennsauken Resident Strives To Be Miss New Jersey USA

Ever since she was little, Felisha Nation has had aspirations of competing in the Miss New Jersey USA pageant. In fact, the 21 year old has been selected from hundreds of applicants as a state finalist for the competition, held in Atlantic City this November. But in order to make her dream happen, the Pennsauken resident needs some help.

“As a small girl, I always watched the Miss USA pageant and I thought that it could be me,” explains Nation, a member of Pennsauken High School’s Class of 2016 currently studying for a degree in Exercise Science at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. “I really want to inspire young women, change the perception of pageants, and be of service to my community.”

Pennsauken resident Felish Nation is hoping to compete in this year’s Miss New Jersey USA competition in November. She’s asking for the community’s help in meeting the sponsorship fee, which is due on July 22.

Felisha is actively looking for sponsors to come up with the funds necessary to compete in Atlantic City. The deadline for the sponsorship fee, July 22, is rapidly approaching. She’s put together a GoFundMe page so that potential donors can learn more about her journey.

“I greatly appreciate each and every donation,” says Felisha. “Pennsauken is one of the most diverse and welcoming communities. If I can compete for Miss New Jersey USA 2020, I know I’ll represent our town well.”

We wish Felisha the best of luck as she works to make her childhood dream a reality. To view her GoFundMe page, visit https://www.gofundme.com/miss-new-jersey-usa-2020-pageant.
