Senior Scam Presentation On November 2

As part of an ongoing commitment to public safety, Pennsauken Township is reaching out to senior citizens about how to avoid scams that are specifically targeting their community. A special presentation hosted by the Township, Pennsauken Police Department, Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2:00 p.m., at the Homestead Youth Association, located at 4771 Willow Ave. in Pennsauken.

“Our concern is to make sure our seniors are prepared for any scams, anybody trying to take advantage of them,” said Township Committeeman Marco DiBattista, who serves as Pennsauken’s Director of Public Safety and the Liaison to Seniors. “We want to make sure that everybody is aware of what scams are out there and what to do if something happens.”

After the presentation, seniors will be able to have their questions answered about the topic. Light refreshments will also be served.

Space is limited. Interested seniors must R.S.V.P. by Monday, Oct. 30 to Amy Schmalbach at (856) 665-1000 x152 or at aschmalbach@pennsauken.gov.
