Pennsauken Lions Club Announce 2019 Citizens Of The Year
Each year, the Pennsauken Lions Club presents its Citizen of the Year award, given to people who have volunteered their time and effort to the betterment of Pennsauken. This year, the Lions Club is pleased to announce that Janet Stevens and Tom McCue have been selected as co-recipients of the award.
Matt McDevitt Announced As Lions’ Citizen Of The Year
The Pennsauken Lions Club has named Matthew McDevitt its 2018 Citizen of the Year. McDevitt was selected from amongst many worthy candidates whose nominations were received by the Club.
Deborah Samuels Lions Club Citizen Of The Year
The Pennsauken Lions Club is pleased to announce that Deborah Samuels has been selected as its Citizen of the Year.
Deborah has been involved in Pennsauken community service for over 40 years. She began her career before she graduated from high school. In 1976, she joined the Homestead Youth Association, a civic organization which brings activities to residents who live in the niche community of Pennsauken, Merchantville, and Cherry Hill West, formerly known as the Homestead and Delly sections of town. Deborah continues her support of the organization. For more than 15 years, she has served as the chairperson of the HYA board of directors; and this year marks her 40th year of service.
Pennsauken Lions Club Honors Mgsr. Mannion At Citizen Of The Year Award Dinner
On June 22, Mgsr. Mike Mannion, a priest for the Diocese of Camden and Pennsauken native, was honored as the Pennsauken Lions Club’s Citizen of the Year for 2015. The award is given out annually to an individual from Pennsauken who has made an impact in the community. Mannion was recognized for his work with the poor, his efforts to spread the message of the dignity of the human person, and his support of local police and other first responders.
