The ninth annual Merchantville Music Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Merchantville Downtown Parking Area.

Grace Episcopal’s Fall Fair Held On November 3

SOCKTOBERFEST Held October 1

Standard Merchandising Co. in Pennsauken is kicking fall off with their first-ever SOCKTOBEFEST event. Held on Sunday, Oct. 1, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., at 7001 North Park Drive, families will be able to enjoy festivities at the company’s headquarters.

Local food trucks, live music, face painting, pumpkin decorating, games (with special prizes) and a petting zoo are just some of family-friendly activities that will be available for all to enjoy. At the event, attendees will also be able shop more than 50,000 pairs of finely crafted, made in America socks and tights priced at $1, $2 or $3 per pair. Merchandise includes cashmere, wool, cotton and merino socks for women, men and children and babies. The first 50 customers will receive a special VIP gift bag.

A proceed from all sales will benefit local charities including “Back on my Feet” and “Rock to the Future.”

Back Packs, Prizes Given Away By Mister Softee Of Pennsauken

On Thursday, Aug. 31, Mister Softee of Pennsauken is giving away 40 back packs with school supplies, as well as variety of other prizes during a special back to school/Pennsauken 125th anniversary celebration.

From 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. free raffle tickets will be given out from the windows of the Pennsauken store, located at 3605 Haddonfield Rd. The drawing will be held Thursday evening at 11:15 p.m. Giveaways include back packs with school supplies and a variety of Mister Softee novelties.

No purchase is necessary to enter. One free ticket is given out per household.

Community Cookout Held On August 20

Vegan Cookout Part Three begins at noon on Sunday, Aug. 20 at Meadowbrook Park, across the street from Benjamin Franklin Elementary. Come out to celebrate life in the best way possible through art, play, and community. Featuring vendors, live music, and more. Free to the public. Pennsauken School District To Hold Year-End Family Fun Fair On June 4

The Pennsauken School District will be hosting a year-end family fun fair on Sunday, June 4, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its Park Avenue Campus.

“As the school year comes to a close, this event is a great way to celebrate all the accomplishments of our students,” says Dr. Ronnie Tarchichi, superintendent, Pennsauken School District. “We’ve got a lot of fun activities planned for the carnival and hope to see many of our families there.”

For just $5, children can receive a wrist band that gives them access to bounce houses, obstacle courses, mobile arcade games, and more for the length of the event. Other activities, such as miniature golf, face painting, balloon twisting, and carnival games, will be available for a small fee. Attendees will also be able to purchase items from a variety of crafters and can buy tasty offerings from more than a dozen food trucks.

Woman’s Club Taste Of Pennsauken Returns April 24

The Woman’s Club of Merchantville Evening Membership Department will once again be sponsoring their “Taste of Pennsauken” event on Monday, April 24, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Rd. The cost per person is $20; attendees will be able to taste dishes from a variety of restaurants in Pennsauken and the surrounding area. Money raised from the event will go to support the nonprofit Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey; provide scholarships for local students; and assist several local charities.
