Camden County Hero Scholarship Golf Outing Held At Pennsauken Country Club
The Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund is hosting its 25th annual golf outing on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Rd. The $125 entrance fee includes lunch, green fees, golf cart, refreshments on the course, dinner, and prizes (longest drive and closest to the pin).
Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served at noon. A shotgun start begins at 1:00 p.m., with dinner and prizes to follow.

The Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization that provides financial and educational assistance to the families of Camden County’s police, fire and EMS personnel killed, or totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty. It is their policy to offer an immediate financial gift to the family within 48 hours of an incident, and once any surviving children reach college age, the Hero Scholarship program allows for them to attend any school of their choice and they will pay up to the highest New Jersey state tuition at their time of enrollment.

Pennsauken-Based “Anthony’s Avengers” Raising Funds For CHOP
On Sunday, Sept. 25, “Anthony’s Avengers” of Pennsauken will rally together for the annual Parkway Run & Walk held at Eakins Oval on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Parkway Run benefits childhood cancer research and survivorship programs at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s world-renowned Cancer Center. The Cancer Center is one of the largest pediatric cancer programs in the nation, making breakthroughs in cancer treatment that impact the lives of children across the nation and around the world.

Journey To Healing Bowling Benefit Held On March 13
The 2016 Journey to Healing bowling benefit will be held on Sunday, March 13 at Pinsetter Bar and Bowl, 7111 Maple Ave. in Pennsauken, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Proceeds from the event, which features three hours of bowling, a two-hour buffet, Chinese auction, and a 50/50 raffle, benefit the Ree Wyn Foundation, an organization that helps provides education, promotes awareness, and supports research efforts for thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), a rare blood disorder.
