Heat Advisory Issued In Camden County Through Weekend
The Office of the Camden County Health Officer has issued a Heat Advisory for Camden County beginning today, July 2, effective from noon until 7 p.m., the advisory will remain in effect during the same period tomorrow, July 3, Thursday, July 4, Friday, July 5, and Saturday, July 6. During a Heat Advisory, the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.

With over 50 million children enrolled in the public school system in the United States, school districts have the opportunity to promote healthy behaviors, reinforce the importance of health education, and can empower students to develop good habits that will be sustained well into adulthood. The Pennsauken Board of Education recognizes the importance of school-based health initiatives and is open to exploring any option that will increase not just the health of the students, but the entire Pennsauken community.

Pennsauken Township Creates Local Board Of Health

The Department of Health and Human Services was created by the Camden County Board of Freeholders to provide residents throughout Camden County access to quality health services and programs that are cost effective and responsive to local needs. And while this department provides a wide variety of services, there is also a need on a more basic level to address the health issues of specific communities. That’s why Pennsauken Township, under a mandate by the State of New Jersey, has created a local Board of Health.
