Pennsauken School District Hosts Wellness Committee Meeting On October 16
The Pennsauken School District Wellness Committee will hold its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Cafeteria of Pennsauken High School. The goal of the Wellness Committee is to bring together students, teachers, parents, and administrators for the purpose of promoting health and wellness.

Pennsauken Holds Halloween Home Decorating Contest
Halloween is coming and Pennsauken’s Department of Parks and Recreation and the Pennsauken Youth Action Committee would like to recognize the very best – and spookiest – decorations throughout Pennsauken as part of the town’s Halloween Home Decorating Contest. As you get ready to start hanging cobwebs, skeletons, and the like, there could be a reward for your efforts!
Schedule Changes Announced For Remaining 2018 Township Committee Meetings
Pennsauken’s municipal government has announced several schedule changes to the Township Committee meeting for the remainder of the year.
The meetings scheduled for Oct. 3 and 17, Nov. 7, and Dec. 5 and 19 have been cancelled. New meetings have been scheduled for Oct. 4 and 25, Nov. 8, and Dec. 6 and 20. The Township Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, Nov. 19 remains the same.
All meetings will continue to be held at the Township’s municipal building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., Pennsauken, at 5:30 p.m.

Other Yard Sale Related Events
Pennsauken’s Town Wide Yard Sale runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. today. In addition to the 78 locations on the map, some local organizations are hosting related events.
Knights of Columbus Council #3512 is holding a flea market today, now through 2:00 p.m., at St. Cecilia’s School Yard, 4851 Camden Ave., Pennsauken. Food will also be available for purchase.
Camden County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 6955 Central Highway, Pennsauken, is having a 50 percent off almost everything sale today. The sale cannot be combined with any other offers. This sale excludes paint supplies, mattresses/box springs, contractor bags, new bed frames, select flooring and welcome mats.

Pennsauken Car, Bike, And Craft Show Held On Sept. 30
Because of last week’s heavy rains, the 26th annual Pennsauken Car, Bike, and Craft Show has been moved to the rain date of Sept. 30. Be sure to visit part of the “Maple Mile” by Pinsetter Bar and Bowl to take part in all of the fun!
Missing Pennsauken Teens Found
This afternoon, Pennsauken Township Police posted via social media that Sandra Sanchez and Victor Skerett, two Pennsauken teens missing since last week, have been safely located. From the Pennsauken Township Police Department Facebook page:
“Sandra Sanchez and Victor Skerett have been FOUND! Pennsauken Police would like to say THANK YOU for the publics assistance in finding the 2 juveniles.”
Fifth Annual Pennsauken Harvest Festival Held On October 6

The Pennsauken Township Public Events Committee, in association with the Pennsauken Firefighters Association, will host the fifth annual Pennsauken Harvest Festival, a celebration of heritage, arts and community.

Vaughn Frye began his fascination with the martial arts in Vietnam, where a military scout from the Republic of China (Taiwan) taught soldiers some techniques. He was hooked.
“The techniques and training stuck with me,” explains Frye, a longtime practitioner of Hung Gar White Crane Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chaun. “Ever since then, I’ve been on a mission.”
