Members of Team Pennsauken and the Pennsauken/Merchantville F.O.P Lodge 3 are hosting a fundraiser benefit for MED13L awareness on Sunday, Oct. 21, 10:00 a.m., at Pinsetter Bar and Bowl, 7111 Maple Ave., Pennsauken.MED13L, an autism spectrum disorder, is characterized by facial dysmorphism, intellectual disability, speech and language impairment, motor developmental delay, and behavioral difficulties. It’s extremely rare, with just 15 known cases in the entire world. Ryan Sexton, a Pennsauken police officer and township native, has two sons, Dylan and Logan, who are diagnosed with this disorder.
The fundraiser is a Philadelphia Eagles tailgate/viewing party. The game will be broadcast on a large outdoor screen; there will also be games, food trucks, drink specials, and raffles.
Tickets are $20 per person. All proceeds will benefit the MED13L Foundation, an organization started by Dylan and Logan’s parents to help create awareness about the genetic disorder and to support families dealing with MED13L.
