Why I Love Scouting

I started out in kindergarten as a K-Cub (now Lions) and have been in The Boy Scouts (now Scouts B.S.A) for five years. I love being in Scouts; it is so much fun and I have learned so much.

The reason The Boys Scouts are now referred to as Scouts B.S.A is because girls are now part of it. I have met many at outings and they really love it too.

I have made a lot of new friends. We go camping every month. Where we do fun activities like campfires, hiking, cooking, and playing games. We go to summer camp every July.

I have learned a lot of useful things like CPR, first aid, and emergency prep. At our last camping trip, we played first aid baseball and worked on first aid skills. Our next trip is a leaders challenge, where they will have us do cookoffs, fire building challenges and possibly a night hike. They winning team will earn beads for their Patrol, which could let us have a pizza party.
