Merchantville Sweet Shop To Move To Pennsauken

The Merchantville Sweet Shop, which opened on Maple Ave. in July of last year is making a move to Pennsauken.

Local officials and members of the community were on hand for the grand opening of the Merchantville Sweet Shop on Maple Ave. in July of 2017. The store plans to close next month and reopen at a new Pennsauken location on Sept. 12.

The ice cream shop will close on Sunday, Aug. 12 and will begin its relocation to 2673 Haddonfield Rd. in Pennsauken, a larger location with more parking.

Got Cut? Barbershop Open For Business On River Road

This fresh, yet classic take on the barbershop/community meeting place is the concept of Joey Lopez, a member of Pennsauken High School’s Class of 2002 and a graduate of Empire Beauty School in Cherry Hill.

AFC Urgent Care Opens In Pennsauken

Pennsauken Mayor Jack Killion and the Township’s Department of Economic Development were on hand for the official ribbon cutting of AFC Urgent Care, located at 6630 S. Crescent Blvd. Franchisees Frank Lauletta, Jr. and Salvatore Lopresti, Sr. feel the high traffic location will be the cure that ails Pennsauken residents under the weather.

Airborne Systems Awarded $26 Million Marine Corps Contract

Earlier this month, Airborne Systems of Pennsauken announced that it was officially awarded the contract for an Enhanced Multi-Mission Parachute System (E-MMPS) for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The contract, which was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, is worth over $26 million.

PMAC Welcomes Bayada Home Health Care At January Luncheon

Tom Sibson and Tom Cassidy from Bayada Home Health Care are the guest speakers at the Pennsauken-Merchantville Area Chamber of Commerce (P.M.A.C.) networking luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Marco’s at the Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Rd.

Sibson, the company’s chief financial officer, and Cassidy, the director of procurement and facilities, will be speaking about their move to Pennsauken Township.

Sign-in begins at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 10, with the meeting starting at noon. Admission is $25 for members, $35 for non-members.

In conjunction with the town’s 125th anniversary, Pennsauken has created “Pennsaukenopoly,” a special keepsake board game. The games are finished and have arrived just in time for the holidays!

Games are just $30 and all proceeds from the sale of “Pennsaukenopoly” will go to support local charitable initiatives.
