Merchantville Sweet Shop To Move To Pennsauken
The Merchantville Sweet Shop, which opened on Maple Ave. in July of last year is making a move to Pennsauken.
Local officials and members of the community were on hand for the grand opening of the Merchantville Sweet Shop on Maple Ave. in July of 2017. The store plans to close next month and reopen at a new Pennsauken location on Sept. 12.
The ice cream shop will close on Sunday, Aug. 12 and will begin its relocation to 2673 Haddonfield Rd. in Pennsauken, a larger location with more parking.
Sweet Shop owner and Pennsauken resident Larry Albright indicated that the larger space will enable the business to better host birthday parties, etc., while still accommodating walk-in traffic. He plans to maintain the look and feel of the Merchantville location; in addition, the entire staff will be making the move to the Haddonfield Rd. store.
The projected grand re-opening will be on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
