DRPA Informational Meeting On Betsy Ross Bridge Rescheduled For April 17

The Delaware River Port Authority has rescheduled a community information event regarding work on the Betsy Ross Bridge for Tuesday, April 17, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Pennsauken Free Public Library, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd. This event will allow residents of Pennsauken to learn more about planned upgrades and enhancements to the Betsy Ross Bridge.

Upgrades to the bridge will include steel and concrete repairs, removal of existing lead-based paint, and application of a new coating system.

During the community event, residents will be able to ask questions about potential lane closures and detours, learn about efforts to minimize noise and disruption during the project, and get additional information about ways in which the project will ensure minimal disruption.

DRPA personnel will be available during the two-hour information session to answer questions and provide information about new techniques to ensure that dust and other byproducts from the bridge rehabilitation project are safely removed without any impact to neighbors and the community.
