Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Stops By Pennsauken

The famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile recently took a special trip to town to visit a creative contest winner.

Pennsauken resident Kristin Burke was one of five winners of Oscar Mayer’s “For the Love of Hot Dogs” contest. Burke posted a picture of a “salsa dog,” an all beef hot dog creatively topped with salsa, cotija crema, tortilla chip pieces, and a sprinkle of chives on a toasted bun.

Kristin Burke’s winning submission: the salsa dog.

“I saw a contest on Twitter that Oscar Mayer was running. You had to submit a photo of your hot dog in a fun and unique way,” says Burke. “I was one of the five winners and got the Wienermobile to come to our house! We’re excited that we won this prize.”

In addition to an hour-long visit from the Wienermobile, a hit with Kristin’s family and friends, she received coupons for a year’s supply of Oscar Mayer hot dogs, a package of Oscar Mayer hot dogs, and Oscar Mayer swag. Burke plans on sharing some of her coupons with the Food Bank of South Jersey to give back to those in need.

If you wish you had an Oscar Mayer wiener – or a visit from the Wienermobile for that matter – the second round of the “For the Love of Hot Dogs” contest runs from Aug. 20 through Sept. 9. For more details, visit http://bit.ly/OscarMayerHotDogContest.
