In a video posted this morning, Pennsauken Mayor Marco DiBattista announced the opening of the town’s vaccination sites on Saturday, April 10.
“I’d like to thank CAMcare, my fellow members of Township Committee, as well as our municipal staff, who worked tirelessly to make sure we can finally offer this service to eligible residents – particularly those who didn’t have access to technology,” said Mayor DiBattista. “I’d also like to thank you for your patience as we put this program together. This was a process with many challenges, but we were determined to make sure that the COVID-19 vaccine could be offered to as many people in Pennsauken as possible.”
Those residents that have already registered with the Township for this program should be receiving a phone call directly from a CAMcare representative to schedule their time this Saturday. The vaccination sites will be held at two locations: Fire Station 3 on Lexington Ave.; and Fire Station 5 on Union Ave. Participants will receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. No walk-ins will be accepted at this time.
“If you’ve already received the vaccine or made another appointment, just let CAMcare know when they call,” added Mayor DiBattista. “If you can’t make it, please; just let them know. We are trying to do everything possible to avoid no-shows.”
