Pennsauken’s Tree Lighting Gets “Frozen”

Pennsauken Township’s annual tree lighting ceremony and food truck event, held tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 4, has a “Frozen” theme this year.

Held at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., snow will fall on participants, regardless of the weather, courtesy of the Pennsauken Fire Department’s snow maker. Also, some popular winter characters – along with their snowman pal – will be in attendance for photo opportunities.

Pennsauken’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Food Truck Event is held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Township’s Municipal Building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd.

At 6:00 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive via fire engine to light the tree; and children will “travel” by trackless train to give their letters and wish lists to Ole’ Saint Nick.

Several food trucks will be on hand for attendees to enjoy something to eat during the event; musical entertainment will be provided by members of Pennsauken High School’s Double Dozen Choir and the Eagles Pep Band; and children will be able to enjoy making sand art ornaments.
