The seminar runs from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and is free to attend.

Airborne Systems Awarded $26 Million Marine Corps Contract
Earlier this month, Airborne Systems of Pennsauken announced that it was officially awarded the contract for an Enhanced Multi-Mission Parachute System (E-MMPS) for the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The contract, which was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, is worth over $26 million.
Bergey’s Truck Centers Holds Grand Opening

On Oct. 19, Bergey’s Truck Centers held a grand opening ceremony of their new, state-of-the-art facility at 7255 North Crescent Blvd. Invited by Mark Bergey, president of Bergey’s Truck Centers, Pennsauken Mayor Betsy McBride and Deputy Mayor Jack Killion were given a tour of the over 54,000-square-foot facility.
All Around Pennsauken To Highlight Holiday Specials For Small Business Saturday
For the third year in a row, All Around Pennsauken will highlight local deals and specials in both Pennsauken and Merchantville as part of Small Business Saturday. Held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday encourages shoppers to patronize small “brick and mortar” businesses in their community.
SOCKTOBERFEST Held October 1
Standard Merchandising Co. in Pennsauken is kicking fall off with their first-ever SOCKTOBEFEST event. Held on Sunday, Oct. 1, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., at 7001 North Park Drive, families will be able to enjoy festivities at the company’s headquarters.
Local food trucks, live music, face painting, pumpkin decorating, games (with special prizes) and a petting zoo are just some of family-friendly activities that will be available for all to enjoy. At the event, attendees will also be able shop more than 50,000 pairs of finely crafted, made in America socks and tights priced at $1, $2 or $3 per pair. Merchandise includes cashmere, wool, cotton and merino socks for women, men and children and babies. The first 50 customers will receive a special VIP gift bag.
A proceed from all sales will benefit local charities including “Back on my Feet” and “Rock to the Future.”
