Car And Bike Show Roars Back To Pennsauken

By Frank Sinatra, AAP Editor

Pennsauken’s 33rd annual Car and Bike Show will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hundreds of classic cars and bikes will be on display along part of the “Maple Mile,” starting at Pinsetter Bar and Bowl, the co-sponsor of the event located at 7111 Maple Ave., and extending towards Union Ave.

“We’re thrilled to have our town’s annual Car and Bike Show on Sept. 14,” said Pennsauken Mayor Nicole Roberts. “We love seeing all the great cars and motorcycles lined along Maple Ave. and in the Pinsetter parking lot.”

There will be 23 judging classes for cars, from Stock Production before 1953 to All New Cars, 2018 to Present, as well as nine judging classes for motorcycles, from Full Dresser to Antique Bikes. Over 100 awards will be presented to participants that afternoon.

As attendees stroll the show, viewing the many cars and bikes on display, they can also enjoy a variety of other activities. Food trucks will be on hand offering a variety of snacks and meals for purchase; and DJs will be playing both classic and popular music throughout the event.

Each year, every effort is made to reduce the impact on the neighborhoods along Maple Ave. and adjoining streets. Residents will have access to major throughways and can get in and out of the area during the event.

“So many car and bike enthusiasts come out and enjoy this great, free public event,” added Mayor Roberts. “We’re excited to welcome back our longtime participants and hope to see a lot of new faces as well.”

The form to register a vehicle for this year’s show can be downloaded from the Township’s website at PennsaukenEvents.com. Pre-registration fees are $15 for cars and $12 for bikes; forms with the entry fee must be received at the Pennsauken Township Building, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd., Pennsauken, NJ 08110, attention Juan Vazquez, by Tuesday, Sept. 2. Registration on the day of the show is held from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.; at that time, fees are $20 for cars, $15 for bikes.

It is important that participants of this year’s Car and Bike Show know that the only way to register a car or bike for this event is through Pennsauken Township’s Parks and Recreation Department. No individual or group will solicit registration fees online. In addition, this event is free for the public to attend; there are no tickets needed for admission.

In case of inclement weather, the rain date for the Car and Bike Show is Sunday, Sept. 21.
